A&S

Since 2015

Made by hand, made to last

A&S started in 2015 with a simple idea: a leather jacket should feel good the day you buy it and even better years later.

Every jacket is cut from premium lambskin and sewn by skilled hands. We take our time over the details you notice every day, like the drape across the shoulders, a clean seam and a zip that runs smoothly, because that is where a jacket earns its place in your wardrobe.

The craft

From hide to jacket in four steps

  1. 01

    Select the hide

We start with soft, even lambskin, chosen for its grain, colour and thickness.

  2. 02

    Cut the pattern

Each panel is cut to the pattern so the grain runs the right way and the jacket drapes naturally.

  3. 03

    Stitch

The panels are joined with strong, even seams, reinforced where a jacket works hardest: shoulders, cuffs and pockets.

  4. 04

    Finish

Lining and hardware go in, and every jacket gets a final check before it is ready to wear.

The Leather

Why we choose lambskin

Lambskin comes from young sheep, so the hide is naturally thinner and finer-grained than cowhide or goatskin. That fine structure gives our jackets their soft, buttery feel from the very first wear, which is why every A&S jacket starts with it.

  • 01

    Soft from day one

Short, fine fibres and natural lanolin make lambskin supple straight away. It moulds to you within a week or two of wear, not months.

  • 02

    Light on the shoulders

A lambskin jacket weighs around 1 kg, roughly half as much as a comparable cowhide jacket, so it is easy to wear all day.

  • 03

    Breathes with you

The thin, porous hide lets warmth and moisture escape, so it stays comfortable from cool mornings to milder afternoons.

  • 04

    Rich colour, natural drape

The fine grain takes dye evenly for deep blacks and warm browns, and the leather follows your shape instead of standing stiff.

Caring for lambskin

Looked after well, a lambskin jacket lasts for many years. A few simple habits make the difference:

  • Condition it every 3–4 months with a light, lanolin-based leather conditioner.
  • Hang it on a wide, padded hanger so the shoulders keep their shape.
  • Keep it away from radiators and direct sunlight, in a breathable cover, never plastic.
  • Caught in the rain? Blot it dry and let it air-dry at room temperature, never with a hairdryer.
